James Cafe is not just a coffee shop; it's a real family story with passion. As soon as you step in, you can feel the essence of the metal shop where two brothers initially started. It's inspiring how, despite taking different paths in music and underwater welding, they reunited over a shared love for coffee. I ordered a cafe latte, and it was more than just coffee. The blend of smooth milk and rich coffee flavor offered a perfect start to my morning. Every cup from this cafe is infused with the brothers' story, passion, and love for family. It's rare to find such an authentic local cafe in San Diego, and now I understand why it's a favorite among locals.

Stopped in on our way from the airport. The cafe has a unique grunge hipster vibe. The place is a shared open air market type space with various businesses operating inside. Small seating area for the coffee shop and if you can get a seat, this would be a neat place to work. Coffee was delicious. Lots of locals frequent the place. Staff were friendly and helpful. Simple cafe with minimal amount of food choices. Street parking wasn't a problem. Would recommend trying!

Today, I tried the New seasonal latte, horchata. Must say "Loved it." Delicious. The lady that made it must have made it before. She also, did a wonderful job with serving customers as she was working alone at the time. Keep it up JAMES COFFEE of Little Italy

One of my favorite coffee spots in San Diego, wish there was one closer to my place down in South Bay. Their house blend is great and so are the lattes. I would want to come here and relax on a weekend, but parking would be very difficult. The atmosphere and ambiance of this coffee shop is very chill and you'll hear and experience planes flying overhead around every five minutes or so as they're landing into San Diego airport. Service is good, they'll let you sample the different types of coffee if requested.

I love James Coffee. Great espresso-based drinks, quality beans, nice pastry selection, and friendly people. As an environmentalist, I'm impressed at the reusable coffee jar program that they offer. You can choose the single use plastic (if you hate the earth!) or you can pay $2.50 for the, use it in your daily life, and then bring it back for the $2.50 back or exchange it for a new jar for your coffee order that day. Brilliant! I've been to this location in Little Italy twice. It sits inside a large warehouse-like building shared with multiple other stores. Quiet neighborhood with lots of shops and other food establishments within walking distance. Easy street parking. Inside, there are lots of seats and a few outlets for getting work done.

This coffeehouse is located in a shared space with a couple of other businesses. There is plenty of inside seating but no seating outside. The location is a little funky but it's cute and it works. I didn't realize they have several locations. We visited the one in the northern portion of Little Italy--the part where you can actually find street parking. You can tell that they really care about their coffee and the coffee drinks here. And the coffee was, in fact, delicious. The Honey Cinnamon Latte had a delightful hint of honey flavor. But the star of the show was the Mexican Mocha. This one had more of a spice kick when you swallow. It was spicier than I expected but not in a bad way. This is a unique and very good drink. Very good coffee. I would happily return.

James Coffee in the Downtown San Diego district is a fun little spot with several boutiques and restaurants in one mixed indoor/outdoor hangar as the planes landing into the SD airport are well heard in the background. The coffee that my partner and I got was expensive, however extremely solid. I just appreciate places that have quality beans which are not over-diluted by the amount of milk/water mixed in. The two ladies at the front were extremely friendly, and quick with recommendations. Though I believe $6 for a cappuccino with no speciality milk is too much, it was very good and I would recommend it to anyone visiting SD who is willing to pay such a price.
